The Nikon D200 body is a classic.  First introduced by Nikon several years ago, the company has since introduced newer cameras in this line. But for many people, the D200 suits their needs and the price is way down from where it started.

The quality of the photos you can expect with the Nikon D200 is top-notch… provided that you are up to it yourself. This is not a camera for the point-and-shoot crowd. But for dedicated amateurs all the way through professionals, the Nikon D200 camera is a contender.

It’s a sturdy metal camera with a solid, heavy feel to it without weighing a ton. Users report it stands up to rugged conditions on every continent, including Antarctica. The battery life amazes people. If you have any old Nikor lenses from film cameras, they should work in this one too.

Sure, the megapixel count is higher on some of the newer models — after all, that’s something to sell a camera. But it’s hard to imagine that you would need any more than what this camera delivers, including when you do really large enlargements or very close-in shots.
